We put experimental feminist new writing on the stage. With a mission to provoke, empower and entertain, we collaborate with writers to create unconventional theatre.

Our stories bite back and spread joy. We throw some glitter in the air to see flickers of good in a dark world.

Boasting of intricate movement and sound design, Teastain Theatre is collaborative creativity at its finest.

Founded in Yorkshire, our shows include Aisling Lally's Messy Eaters (York Theatre Royal) and Ashley Milne's Untitled Sparkly Vampire Play (Omnibus Theatre).

Co Director

Jessy Roberts

Jessy trained as a director at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She is an Associate Writer of Middle Child Theatre, and an Associate Director at The Rondo Theatre, and was Artistic Director of York Theatre Royal’s TakeOver Festival 2018. Jessy collaborates with writers as a freelance director and script-reader.

Co Director

Rebecca McGreevy

Rebecca is a theatre producer and director. Having trained and worked across Liverpool theatres, working with Liverpool's Royal Court, she was then Chair of the Board of York Theatre Royal’s TakeOver Festival and is now Communications Officer of Stockroom. She collaborates as a Producer, Director and Arts Marketing consultant.

Associate Artist

Lucia Rimini

Co-Founder of Teastain Theatre, Lucia is a producer and director. Also working with Layered Reality and Haus of Dench.
